About the "Beat George Mason" thing: It wasn't really the Athletic Department. RHA, Lifton, PB, and a few other people decided they wanted to boost school spirit by fabricating a rivalry, and held meetings with a bunch of representatives from student orgs. Those meetings resulted in asking the Spirit department to help make a video/website, as well as a few other things. I only went to the first meeting, so I can't tell how much they did on their own, but they were the ones with the initiative.

I'm pretty sure Lifton had nothing to do with the Mason rivalry game. Program Board's Meehan, Callahan, Currier, and Reef worked their asses off to make it a successful event and Facebook campaign.
