This spring, undergraduate students will have the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of the Federal Reserve from none other than the Fed Chairman himself.
Chairman Ben Bernanke will administer four lectures for the GWSB class ”The Federal Reserve and Its Role in Today’s Economy” taught by Professor Tim Fort. Bernanke’s lectures are scheduled for March 20, 22, 27 and 29, and are designed to give students a basic understanding of the inner workings of one of the most important bodies in the nation’s central banking system.
In a GW press release issued this morning, Professor Fort stated “It is an unbelievable opportunity for our students to be able to talk about such an important subject with one of the leaders of the world economy.”
The undergraduate class will begin on March 20.
