It is official, the Student Association campaign season has started. As of this morning, Senator At-Large and Finance Chair John Bennett has announced that he will be running for SA President. He’s even got an announcement video that mirrors the infamous Herman Cain ad:
According to his platform, Bennett’s main goals as SA President will be to fight for student space in the Marvin Center and around the campus, to reform 4-ride so it is available when students need it, and to reform certain graduate level policies, and ensure that the Gelman first floor renovations are serving student needs.
Bennett knows a lot of student orgs and has strong connections to major groups on campus and is a member of BETA, which should give him a good organization to work with come election time.
