On Monday night, students from the GW School of Engineering and Applied Science got a special shout-out on “The Daily Show” from host Jon Stewart. In his opening, Stewart talked about his interaction with the founders of Panda Cycles when the comedian attended the Clinton Global Initiative University at GW over the weekend. Panda Cycles is a group composed of three GW students who built bamboo bicycles in an effort to lower carbon emissions and provide sustainable means of transportation in developing countries. You can watch the clip/shout-out here
Note: Panda Cycles was founded by two students from the School of Engineering and Applied Science (Jon Torrey and Matthew Wilkins) and one student from the School of Business (Chris Deschenes)
