Where We Went and FREE MONEY!

Over the last few days, a lot has happened. For starters, the GW Patriot hasn’t been online.

It’s not because we don’t love you (but we actually don’t). It’s because we were hacked. Hacked badly.

We were hit with a Denial-of-Service attack. Someone put a lot of effort towards flooding our traffic and overloading our servers. Our host shut us down until the attack was finished. Our Editor, Will, worked tirelessly as our resident basement nerd. It’s because of his determination that the site is back up right now.

So we’re alive! BUT THERE’S ONE PROBLEM. What should we do about our “I Love Free Money” Humor Contest? Well, we’re going to extend it.

That’s right: you have a whole week (and a day!) to finish your pieces. You can find more details about the contest here. The bottom line: 5pm on Monday the 23rd. That’s your deadline.
